Here at Annenberg Classroom we believe that the free exchange of ideas and diverse opinions is vitally important to a healthy democracy. To that we end, we have developed these discussion boards to assist educators and other participants in carrying on the debate and exchange ideas. While we are not easily offended by strong opinions, we do request participants play by the following rules:
- Be respectful of others’ opinions – feel free to disagree but don’t disrupt the discussions
- No personal insults or attacks
- Do not pick a fight simply for the sake of fighting (there are plenty of sites for venting aggression, this is not one of them)
- Although the materials at Annenberg Classroom cover some sensitive topics, the site may be used by people of all ages. Kindly refrain from cursing or other abusive language.
- We have many boards on different topics that are easily searchable. Please find the appropriate board for your comments and opinions.
When we receive complaints about abuse, we investigate and remove offending posts. Violators of these policies will receive a warning that they have crossed over the line. Repeat violators will have their accounts blocked.
